When two kids from the NC backwoods end up in Los Angeles, hilarity ensues. Hope you're making your way in the world today and what not. If you'd like to take a break from all your worries, I totally know your name. Woo.

Hey Chief (Do folks evr call you that?? I'm from Boston so sometimes shit like that just comes out; sorry)-
Just thought I'd say hey after reading a few of yr things over the last couple of years. "Back Home" is good, I mean last-paragraph-of-a-Richard-Ford-novel good. Printed that up probably 3 years ago and I still have it, still read it every now and again. Anyhoo... I'm hoping life's treating you all right- we've never met but I feel a kindred blah blah quack etc... I get the feeling you're living the dream though. Me? I'm ten years out of UGA (btw I first came 'cross yr name on some UOG-related post or site- I was on the Promotions staff 94-'97...), living in a tiny condo and desk jockeying in a mind-numbing job at the phone company, of all places. But I've been carrying notebooks around lately, scribbling like crazy on the train or wherever instead of tearing through another sudoku.
So. Cheers, I guess... and please forgive the life story.
