I grew up in Nebo, NC. I now live in Southern California. I write a lot, and I engage in various forms of irresponsible comedy. I love music, art, sex, psychology, adventure and fireworks. My pet peeves include jerks, flakes and buzzkills.

Hey Chief (Do folks evr call you that?? I’m from Boston so sometimes shit like that just comes out; sorry)-
Just thought I’d say hey after reading a few of yr things over the last couple of years. “Back Home” is good, I mean last-paragraph-of-a-Richard-Ford-novel good. Printed that up probably 3 years ago and I still have it, still read it every now and again. Anyhoo… I’m hoping life’s treating you all right- we’ve never met but I feel a kindred blah blah quack etc… I get the feeling you’re living the dream though. Me? I’m ten years out of UGA (btw I first came ‘cross yr name on some UOG-related post or site- I was on the Promotions staff 94-’97…), living in a tiny condo and desk jockeying in a mind-numbing job at the phone company, of all places. But I’ve been carrying notebooks around lately, scribbling like crazy on the train or wherever instead of tearing through another sudoku.
So. Cheers, I guess… and please forgive the life story.

Dear Emerson … I saw a review did of Hot Women (the R Crumb collection of 78s). I am looking for writer and publishing credits on the song Mexico En Una Laguna performed by Lidya Mendoza Y Familia. Any info you can give will be appreciated.
